Some amazing work over at Terrafab! They have created a 3D rendering of a physical map of Norway. The user can zoom in and out on the map and select square areas of any size, then download the rendering and send it to a 3D printing service bureau, like us.
This sort of software could be used to map not just the Norwegian coastline but the whole world. Imagine being able to take a rendering of any city- or landscape and have it sit on your desk.
Check out the video and the website, then explore the map.
