3DPrintingIndustry.com recently featured the work of Danit Peleg, donned by US snowboarder Amy Purdy, who wore Peleg's 3D printed dress during a dance in which her partner was a massive robotic arm!
The designer explained her thought process in a blog post:
What better way to launch the Paralympics, which has seen its share of 3D printed technology? Additive manufacturing's ability to customize and optimize prosthesis and athletic equipment makes it a logical choice for Olympic competitors.
