Ordering custom 3D prints with RapidMade is easier than ever. To get started, all you need is a CAD file to upload. The tool accepts most file types, including STL, STEP, IGES, SLDPRT and more.

Once you upload your file, you’ll be able to view a 3D model of your part. Then, simply pick the technology and material that you want to use, select the quantity of parts, and place your order. You can even save your orders to come back to later. It’s that easy!

  2. File Upload and Compatibility: The tool supports over 45 CAD formats, including popular ones like STL, OBJ, SLDPRT, and STEP. Users can easily upload their CAD files by dragging and dropping or browsing files, ensuring broad compatibility and ease of use.

  3. Customization Options: After file upload, users can select specific details such as units, technology, material, color, production time, and quantity. For Nylon and ABS prints, there’s now an option to add threaded inserts under “Finishing Options.”

  4. Cart Management: Users can add multiple CAD models to the cart, view their selections, edit quantities, and even save out a PDF quote for later use.

  5. Streamlined Checkout Process: The checkout process has been simplified, with clear steps to confirm billing and shipping details, delivery method, and payment options. Customers set up with terms can select “Invoice” and follow the necessary steps to complete their order.

  6. Important Notes and Considerations: The guide includes essential notes such as the minimum order value, order initiation requirements, and specifics regarding part conformity to material specifications. It also addresses the handling of large files, wall thickness requirements, and potential issues with threads and large flat parts.

  7. Consultation and Support: RapidMade encourages users to consult with their team for complex designs or concerns about part printability. Their chat feature and sales team are available to provide support and review all files for printability.

  8. Pickup and Delivery Options: Will Call is available for Oregon and Washington customers, with specified pickup hours for standard and rush orders.

  9. Right to Reject: RapidMade reserves the right to reject any order that does not conform to their guidelines, ensuring quality and conformity to specifications.
